Start with your working pattern
Confirm your base and expected travel before choosing a location. A lower rent further away may be offset by transport costs, early starts or difficulty getting home after a late shift.
For an initial stay, ask your recruiting team whether any staff accommodation or approved local options are available. Do not assume hospital accommodation or relocation reimbursement is provided. Compare flexible short stays with a longer rental once you know the area.
Local letting-agent directory
These are starting points, not endorsements or a complete market listing. The agencies advertise rental or property-management services; availability, prices and terms must be checked directly.
- Newtown: Morris Marshall & Poole — Newtown lettings office, with rental services across the surrounding area. ↗
- Llandrindod Wells: Gwalia Properties — Llandrindod Wells agency advertising lettings and property management. Contact the agency about current rental stock. ↗
- Brecon: James Dean — Rental search and a Brecon office. Ask about short-term options and the area covered. ↗
Broaden the search
Search by town and postcode, then check the actual commute. Property portals can help compare listings from several agents. Ask whether a listing is still available before travelling to a viewing.
